Special assistance for municipal corporations to raise debt fund.

SBICAP has been at the forefront of the municipal bond market, executing the maximum number of municipal bond issuances in India. We were a part of the COBOSAC committee which laid down the regulatory framework for issuance of debt securities by municipalities.

We have actively assisted several municipal corporations in their fundraising initiatives through municipal bonds. We have handled the public issue of the first municipal bond in India by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in the year 1998 and also the maiden municipal bond issue under the new SEBI Regulation for Pune Municipal Corporation in June 2017. It was also the first municipal corporation to tap money from this route after a gap of 14 years. We have successfully arranged funds in multiple tranches for a south-India based municipal corporation, which has accessed the debt capital market thrice for its fundraising initiatives.
