On the occasion of World Environment Day, SBICAPS employee volunteers along with our CSR partner – Nature Forever Society, undertook a forest cleanup activity within the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SNGP) in Mumbai. The team enthusiastically worked on clearing the plastic waste and litter in the park for a greener and cleaner environment and to create awareness on proper waste disposal.

SBICAPS under its CSR initiatives has partnered with NFS for building of a Ficarium (plantation of Ficus group trees) at the park under which 220 ficus group trees (Fig, Banyan, Pipal etc) which are considered keystone species have been planted to enable bio-diversity restoration and address degradation of green cover. This green initiative is expected to improve ecological balance, human–wildlife cohabitation, biodiversity & conservation efforts for the park.
